Who's behind this
Aviationics is written by a plane nerd who never got over it. The kind of person who still looks up when something big goes overhead, who knows the difference between an A350 and a 787 at a glance, and who genuinely wants to tell you why it matters. This is the aviation blog I always wanted to read: someone who knows the good stuff, explaining it like a friend rather than a textbook.
The mission
Most aviation writing picks a lane. It's either breathless and wrong, or technically correct and joyless. Aviationics refuses that trade. The goal is to write for the awe — the reason you cared in the first place — while staying honest about the facts. Every piece aims to leave you with the same feeling: oh, that's why.
So the rules are simple. Accuracy first — if it's not true, it doesn't ship. Wonder always — if it's boring, it's not finished. And the voice of a friend throughout — no jargon walls, no gatekeeping, no pretending you needed a pilot's license to find this interesting.
